In August, we shipped an updated Print Host application to provide better support for the latest versions of BarTender and NiceLabel (now Loftware).

For our next release, we’re making a fundamental shift in how we handle printing with our TTM Series. The industry is moving toward cloud-based solutions, with both BarTender and Loftware now offering web-native products for label management and automation.

To align with this, we’re introducing our new Cloud Printing solution. We’re migrating existing Print Host functionality into this new service, which will natively support BarTender Cloud and Loftware Cloud. We’re also replacing the current Print Host with a new, lightweight service we’re calling the Print Agent.

This new Print Agent will be simpler to deploy and will connect third-party print engines with their web control panels and our TTM Series. This streamlined architecture will make future release rollouts faster and less disruptive for our customers. It also gives us a more flexible platform for future R&D, such as our vision system. Additionally, the new service will provide us with telemetry to gain insights into print volume and proactively spot potential issues, allowing us to get ahead of problems before they impact our customers.

For anyone who prefers to stay on their current on-premise setup, we will continue to support the existing Print Host.
