Melior Newsletter – Q2 2024
Welcome to our newsletter. We aim to provide a short update on various aspects around the products, activities, and general happenings at Melior.

Introduction
During Q1 we have taken on considerably more projects and this has given us a scope to look at new and exciting ways to improve our existing products and services.
We strive each year to grow and improve, not just our products and services, but also as individuals and as a team. We’re always looking for innovative ways to use technology to deliver value to you, to our customers.
We are aware of the upcoming changes with the Windsor Framework for January 2025 and what challenges it poses for companies based in the United Kingdom. If you believe this may affect you, please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss it with us.
I am pleased to announce that we have hit our SLA target of 100%, having come very close to this on a few occasions in the past. It is a reflection not only of our helpdesk but is a joint achievement of hard work and dedication from all of us at Melior Solutions.

2024 continues to be a year where we at Melior can grow and adapt to the changes we are facing. In the latter part of 2023 and into early 2024 we welcomed Matthew and Brett onto the team. We are pleased to further announce, and welcome Nathan, who has joined our Support Team. Nathan will work closely with Jack and Brett to provide 1st class support to our customers.
“I am delighted to join to Melior Solutions working as a Support Engineer on the Helpdesk. I have been made to feel very welcome as a member of the team and I look forward to carrying out my duties to the best of my ability.
I have recently completed my degree in BA Criminology from the University of Manchester, and I am glad to be back in Lincolnshire working close to home. In common with other members of the team, I have a keen interest in music, playing the drums in my spare time, alongside PC gaming with an eye to travel when possible.
I look forward to seeing what the future brings!”
With the changes and expansion of the Support Team, this has allowed Chris who has worked in the Support Team for several years to take his experience of our products and service and move into the Quality Team.

Microsoft Dynamics Integration
Are you using Microsoft Dynamics for your ERP system?
You could be saving time and increasing your productivity by syncing your inventory from a TTM 5XX series service directly with your Microsoft Dynamics.
Within a few clicks you could have completed this and saved hours of work being replicated.
This would then give you the freedom to extract information from reports related to your operations from a single and accessible service.

Training
Have you ever found yourself in the middle of a complex process and have been unable to clearly define a resolution?
As well as increasing productivity and avoiding costly mistakes, Melior Solutions can provide detailed and bespoke training packages for our products/software.
We can approach your needs and requirements as a business and make sure that training meets your specific workflows and highlight any areas that might cause issues.
We offer different options of training such as onsite, over MS Teams and this includes media/videos that you can reuse for training in the future.
Training is provided by our helpful and motivated staff who will guide you with our documentation site and additional videos.

Fast Scan
Fast Scan can allow you to reduce reliance on additional devices such as your networked devices for scanning used in Real Time Scanning, and instead utilises your Wi-Fi connectivity directly.
Setup and installation are simple – we do almost all the work for you!
We are now offering the more recent model, Memor 11 as Memor 20 and Memor 10 line have discontinued but we are still supporting.
Memor 11 has enhanced usability and performance on a 5-inch touch screen smart PDA running android OS.
The new Memor 11 has been tested with our Fast Scan application and is fully compatible and works successfully. We already have a Memor 11 out in the field and operational for an extended period.
Fast scan devices have plenty of advantages compared to other scanners (IP Based, USB, etc):
- Fast scan devices are portable within a Wi-Fi range.
- Higher accuracy with scanning barcodes within our portal
- Additional features on how to scan, for example you can enable Multi Scan which allows you to capture multiple labels sequentially.
- Memor also has multiple scan modes. Single, Pulse Multiple, Hold Multiple and Always on
- Charge profile – you can make a preference on how the battery will be charged, the preferences are Battery lifetime, Maximum capacity and charging speed.
Fast Scan is available for demoing on the new Memor 11 device. Please note that this is subject to location and available resources at the time.
We will setup this up and ship it directly to you for you to test before you purchase.
